Sam is the only attorney at Esplin Weight that specializes in water law. He has completed additional testing and certification with the Utah Division of Water Rights to further his knowledge in this area. Sam has experience contracting with the Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust, has particular knowledge on irrigation water shares, and has experience in being a water broker. When Sam isn’t practicing water law he specializes in juvenile, family, and criminal law. As a law student he worked for the Salt Lake District Attorney’s Office in the Major Crimes and Gang Unit helping with criminal prosecutions. In his free time Sam enjoys dirt biking, downhill mountain biking, and Snowboarding.
